Who can rappel?
Individuals must be 18 years
old or over and weigh between 110-300 pounds. (Valid Photo ID will be required on event day before you rappel.)
What are the fees to participate?
If you register between September 17, 2011 and September 19, 2011 there is a $75 registration fee plus a $1000 fundraising miniumum.
After September 19, 2011 there is a $150 registration fee plus a $1000
fundraising minimum.
Participants who registered before February 1st must reach $500 or provide a valid credit card by March 2, 2012 to secure their spot. Participants who register after February 1st must reach $500 or provide a valid credit card by April 6, 2012 to secure their spot.
The $1,000 fundraising minimum must be met by the fundraising deadline of May 18, 2012. Any balance after that date will be charged to the credit card number provided.
No refunds or
substitutions on any registration fees or donations.
Is it safe?
This event is being produced by Over the Edge, a
fully insured professional rappelling organization that has worked with
various non-profit groups throughout North America to help raise money
for their cause. The equipment, practices, and procedures used are
approved by Federal and State OSHA, Workers Compensation, and Industrial

I don't have any rappelling experience - is that okay?
You do not need prior rappelling experience to participate.
Each participant will receive onsite training the day of the
event. RHAMC will be in contact with all participants in the weeks leading up to the
event to answer any questions.

How long will it take me?
Allow about two hours for the complete experience
from check-in to check-out. (Your rappel time will be provided to you by
RHAMC a week before the event.)
Can my family come up on the rooftop with me?
Only RHAMC and OTE staff are allowed on the roof
during your rappel. One guest will be allowed to come into the
hotel with each participant for the check-in process. All other
guests are welcome to view participants rappelling from the street.
Will photos be taken during the event?
Yes, information about photos will be sent to
registered participants before the event.
Where should I park for the event?
Valet Parking is available at theWit Hotel. Valet fee is $25.
Overnight fee is $45. Other self parking options are available. (Prices subject to change.) |
