Over the Edge is a special events company that provides signature events for non-profit organizations anywhere in North America. Participants are invited to raise pledges in exchange for the once-in-a-lifetime experience of going over the edge of a local building. Our company has been the creative force behind rappelling events all over Canada and The United States. Over the Edge takes care of all technical aspects for the event including the insurance, professional staff, state-of-the art equipment and provides a comprehensive Best Practices Manual. We ensure all federal and state safety laws are strictly followed.

Over the Edge’s team is primarily made up of event planning professionals and industrial rope experts with vast experience in the industrial rope access and adventure industries. In addition, OTE has a host of specialists who deal with the legal and insurance aspects of our business. Our technical experts spend much of their time in the oil and gas sector, performing building inspections or teaching courses. Safety and certification is important to all in the industry and makes for a better global environment, so when the opportunity presents itself, we engage our Level 3 IRATA certified technical experts to train fire fighters, police SWAT teams, window washers and recreational climbers among others.

Every Skyline Plunge event produced by Over the Edge USA is set up as an industrial worksite and is compliant with all federal and state OSHA Fall Protection Standards and OSHA Federal and State Laws. Additionally, policies and procedures adhere to the best practices identified by IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) counsel. This counsel is a strict regulatory body that has regimented guidelines and safety protocols that far exceed the OSHA, Workers Compensation and state labor codes.
